Kanger Nebox Review (Starter Kit)

Kanger Nebox Review (Starter Kit) | Video by Everyday Vaper

Kanger have released their latest product the Nebox which is an all in one mod. The design is quite different to the current range of box mods available on the market. The white finish is very similar to the storm trooper white finish of the Kanger Subox but the design of the product is really down to your own preference. It is available in black, red, blue and white designs.

Packaging is well presented as always with Kanger products. The instruction manual is very detailed with all the operation functions explained and how to wick your RBA but the english translation could be better. It is also concerning that there is a range of information missing including the technical specs.

It fires up to 60 watts and features a temperature control mode as well. It takes a single 18650 battery (recommended 20A) and can be charged with the included micro USB cable. There are large air holes for the battery on the side to ensure batteries do not overheat.

The most unique feature on this product is the internal tank (plastic) which has a whopping 10ml capacity. It could be really tricky to clean the tank out compared to having a separate tank and mod though. The included derylin 510 Drip Tip can be removed and replaced with your own preference.

The LCD display contains all the usual information such as battery level, wattage, temperature control mode and ohm reading. There are six different memory settings which can be set when the device is turned off and then pressing both buttons as demonstrated in the video below. Other options available include flipping the screen and locking the device so the power setting cannot be adjusted accidentally when in your pocket. You can also lock in the resistance when you install a new coil. All the functions are easy to use.

The lowest you can build your coils on this is 0.15 ohm and 1.3 ohm is the highest for Nickel, you also have the ability to build using Kanthal and Titanium.

If you like your airflow adjustment on tanks then surprisingly it cannot be adjusted anywhere on the Kanger Nebox!

The build quality and design isn’t great on this and it feels kind of cheap and tacky. The paintwork has already started to chip off on this after only a few days worth of usage. The tank is plastic so if you use the wrong e-Liquids then it could break and it is not replaceable!

Although it is described as a starter kit, we feel this is not suitable for a beginners as you need to purchase an additional battery. There is also a vast range of features included that is not needed for those new to vaping and could cause confusion.

The concept is really good but the execution is lacking with this one and it feels like Kanger have rushed to get this product out there. The flavour and vapour production is good on the Nebox but then most modern box mods and tanks do anyway.

The average UK price is around £50-60 and there are plenty of other options available for this price range if this doesn’t meet your needs.
